Item 8.01               Other Events.

On September 4, 2007, Vista Gold Corp. issued a press release reporting, among other things, that it has received four exploration licenses covering about 110,633 hectares primarily to the north-northeast of Vista’s Mt. Todd gold project in the Northern Territory, Australia, as well as recent drill results at the Mt. Todd project; and reviewing Vista’s cash position.  The press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 and is attached hereto.
