ITEM 8.01 Other Events

 

On March 20, 2018 the Company participated in an Informational Meeting with the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The meeting was the result of a formal Pre-Submission request that was made by the Company for the purpose of discussing the advancement of the Aethlon Hemopurifier® under an Expedited Access Pathway (EAP) designation that was granted by FDA on September 8, 2017. In October of 2017, FDA provided draft guidance that EAP designated products will subsequently be transitioned to FDA’s “Breakthrough Device” program established under the 21st Century Cures Act. The Company will provide further disclosure as it receives material written feedback from FDA.
