On August 19, 2002, Universal Compression Holdings, Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing the appointment of D. Bradley Childers as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Mr. Childers will be serving in the position previously held by Mark L. Carlton, who left the Company to pursue other interests.
