Blacksands Petroleum, Inc. (the “Company”) is unable to file a timely Report on Form 10-Q for the interim period ended April 30, 2010 because the Company and its auditors are working through the financial statements with regard to the significant interest in the Beech Creek #1 and Beech Creek #2 properties the Company acquired on April 5, 2010.  The Company and the auditors are working in order to be able to file the Form 10-Q on or before the fifth calendar day following the prescribed due date.
