DELAWARE COURT DENIES MM COMPANIES' REQUEST FOR IMMEDIATE RELIEF
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (August 29, 2002) -- Liquid Audio, Inc. (Nasdaq: LQID)
today announced that the Delaware Chancery Court denied MM Companies' (formerly
musicmaker.com) request for a hearing before the company's September 26, 2002
annual stockholders meeting.
MM Companies' latest lawsuit, filed on August 27, 2002, seeks to overturn the
appointment of Liquid Audio's two additional directors elected on August 22,
2002. The court scheduled a date of October 21, 2002 to hear this lawsuit.
