The iconic brand is bringing its legendary and handcrafted ice cream flavors to 9716 Red Stone Drive and will celebrate with a grand opening on Thursday, May 2, 2024. The festivities kick off at 11 a.m. and will be open to the public.
On grand opening day, guests can take advantage of buy one, get one free from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Guests will have the chance to enjoy a variety of local and seasonal flavors such as Black Cherry, Buckeye, Carrot Cake, Coffee Chocolate Chip, Graham Central Station, Salty Caramel Truffle, and many others.
Local entrepreneur Zack Davis, a graduate of Winthrop University deeply rooted in the Lancaster and Union County community, will lead the new Handel's store

Alongside his wife Jenna and their two sons, Zack is eager to introduce the community to Handel's nearly 80-year tradition of handcrafted ice cream, dating back to 1945.
"I admire how Handel's is still a fresh and dynamic brand, and I saw the opportunity to be involved in its growth and innovation process. Joining during a phase of expansion, where talented individuals and exciting ideas are coming together, it only felt like a natural fit to capture this opportunity," Davis said.
The new walk-up location boasts 1,300 sq. ft. and will offer delivery and catering. The Indian Land location will be open weekly from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., with seasonal hours subject to change.
