The Y.F.L. Expo was a resounding success, drawing a diverse group of students from St. Augustine High School, Bricolage Academy, McDonough 35, and Warren Easton.

These students demonstrated exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, showcasing their potential to become future leaders in the finance industry.

Benjamin C. Fields, a member of the Board of Trustees at Loyola University New Orleans, emphasized the significance of the event, saying, "Hosting Wall Street Connection's Young Financial Leaders Expo on Loyola University New Orleans' campus exemplifies our commitment to the local youth in our community. This year, the Expo had the honor of welcoming esteemed judges who brought a wealth of knowledge and insight to the competition. City Councilors JP Morrell and Lesli Harris contributed their expertise, alongside General Partners of New Orleans-Based venture capital firm Corridor Ventures, Kwamena Aidoo and Jarrett Cohen. Rianne Egana, VP Commercial Lending at Gulf Coast Bank, and Ben Fields, a member of the Loyola University Board of Trustees, also served as judges. Their participation not only added a layer of professional evaluation to the competition but also provided participants with invaluable feedback and mentorship.

Students were challenged to analyze a publicly-traded company and present a compelling report on its value as a long-term investment. Through Wall Street Connection's proprietary research resources, participants accessed comprehensive analyses of company profiles, market trends, and financial terminologies. This hands-on approach not only equips them with valuable insights into the financial sector but also hones their ability to make informed investment decisions.

Demi Theodore from Bricolage Academy clinched the first place prize with her insightful analysis of Nike. She was awarded $1,500 to seed her first investment portfolio. In second place, four students from McDonough 35 showcased their remarkable talent and received a $1,000 prize to begin their investment journeys. The abovementioned prizes are a tangible start to each student's investment journey and offer a real-world application of equity investment management strategies.

Dashaun Lyons, mother of first place winner Demi Theodore, shared her appreciation for the expo: "The Young Financial Leaders Expo plays a crucial role in our community by shedding light on financial matters for students at a pivotal time in their lives.
