One of the highlights of Professor Manjikian's career has been his work with the New Jersey Department of Health on a wastewater testing project. This initiative monitored communicable diseases, including COVID-19 and influenza, on campus and in the nearby Jersey City area.
On a weekly basis, between 2023 and 2025, Professor Manjikian collected wastewater samples and monitored their analysis. The project provided critical data supporting national health records maintained by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The project results indicated low levels of disease presence, reflecting the effectiveness of the college's safety protocols.
Academic and Professional Credentials
Professor Manjikian received both his bachelor's and master's degrees in chemistry from Seton Hall University and is presently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in health sciences at the same institution. Enhancing academic qualifications is an integral aspect of Professor Manjikian's professional growth. He holds a higher education teaching certificate from Harvard University and a worldwide leadership development certificate in higher education from Chair Academy.
