Marquis Who's Who Honors Paolo Pelizzoli for Excellence in Finance and Technology

UNIONDALE, NY / ACCESS Newswire / December 12, 2025 / Marquis Who's Who honors Paolo Pelizzoli, head of innovation and platform engineering at The Clearing House, for his expertise in finance and technology. Mr. Pelizzoli, who has spent nearly 40 years in finance, is being recognized for his work in modernizing how financial applications and data are managed. Throughout his career, Mr. Pelizzoli has focused on keeping the finance industry up-to-date by improving payment systems and, more recently, by using artificial intelligence.

About Mr. Pelizzoli

After achieving a bachelor's degree in computer science from Hofstra University in 1985, Mr. Pelizzoli started his journey in financial technology at Online Software. He taught tech courses before moving to PaineWebber & Co. There, he made an impact by updating old systems, which cut the processing time for fixed-income operations from about 12 hours a day to just 18 minutes. This upgrade saved the company six million dollars annually. He also worked at JPMorgan, Merrill Lynch and Neon, where he was the chief architect and chief technology officer. He even started his own global integration company, Glintech, before becoming chief technology officer of finance at TIBCO. While working at Broadridge, he oversaw architecture and innovation during an important time for banking. While at Mastercard, he helped improve operations for Vocalink, which contributed to a significant revenue increase from $100 million to $1.1 billion and is still expanding its market reach.

A Commitment to Innovation and Problem-Solving

An innovator at heart, Mr. Pelizzoli holds a patent from 1996 for Distributed Messaging, which he earned during his time at Neon. He leads his teams with a deep sense of curiosity balanced with a drive to solve tough tech problems. He believes it is important to understand the needs of the business before applying technological solutions, and he often challenges old ways of thinking that can slow down progress. "My passion is explaining the art of the possible using a combination of technology and business," he explains. "I want to get people to see problems in a different light."

Mr. Pelizzoli's main guiding principle is "Why not?" instead of "You can't do that." He is convinced that one can always find solutions to issues and innovate, no matter the technical hurdles involved. He's known for his ability to explain complicated technical concepts to everyone, from top executives to engineers, something that he feels has been an important key to his successful career.

Making Payments More Accessible

Looking toward the future, Mr. Pelizzoli wants to make payments more accessible to everyone, everywhere, whether they have a bank account or not. His goal is to create software that can be downloaded locally in every country and automatically connect with their existing systems. His effort would address the problematic lack of financial access in places like Africa, South America and the Far East, and it would allow people to send and receive money without needing traditional banks or credit scores.

Outside of work, Mr. Pelizzoli has coached women's soccer for almost 16 years, which he finds very rewarding. He enjoys spoiling his grandchildren and spending time at his summer home in Key West, Florida. He supports various charitable causes, including Habitat for Humanity and Doctors Without Borders, and he also donates to many other charities.
