Located along Central Oregon’s historic Route 19 in Kimberly, Longview Ranch maintains 30,000 stunning acres of diverse landscape. While the property operates primarily for the purpose of raising grass-fed cattle, Oregon’s Longview Ranch is also home to more than eight miles of the picturesque John Day River.

Oregon’s Longview Ranch has long suffered from spring flooding due to runoffs of the John Day River, which flow through the ranch. To combat the destruction of this flooding and reestablish vegetation, Oregon’s Longview Ranch initiated numerous restoration projects, including the significant planting of trees and willows along the banks.

Oregon’s Longview Ranch’s efforts along the John Day River have produced a rich, biodiverse habitat and riparian zone restoration.
