Flint Raises $5M for Autonomous Websites

Flint, a platform that delivers autonomous websites that build themselves, today announced $5 million in seed funding led by Accel, with participation from Sheryl Sandberg’s fund, Sandberg Bernthal Venture Partners, and prior investor Neo. The company was founded by former leaders of Warp and Nuro.

The Autonomous Website

ChatGPT and other AI agents now browse websites on behalf of users, which means growth teams need pages for every possible customer question to stay visible. But shipping even a single page takes months of coordination across fragmented tools and teams.

"It’s time to kill the traditional website," said Michelle Lim, co-founder and CEO of Flint. "We're moving from a world of websites as static assets to one where they're autonomous agents."

This is what Flint is building toward: Imagine your website knowing when your competitor launches and automatically generating a comparison page before your morning coffee. When a healthcare executive visits, it morphs to highlight healthcare case studies. When an AI agent arrives, the website pitches to it directly using agent-to-agent protocols. The site constantly builds itself, A/B tests itself, and learns from your visitors and the market, all while you maintain control and it retains brand fidelity.

“Your website is either autonomous or obsolete,” continued Lim.

Proven Results with Leading AI Companies

While Flint is in the early stages of realizing full website autonomy, the platform is already powering live on-brand pages for customers like Cognition, Modal, and Graphite, including comparison pages, ad landing pages, and AI SEO content.

Customers upload a content brief and a URL of their existing website, and Flint ingests their design system to generate fully coded pages that live directly on their root domain.

Early results include top SEO and AI-SEO rankings, 50% higher Google Ads conversions, and hundreds of thousands of dollars in pipeline, months ahead of schedule.

From Autonomous Vehicles to Autonomous Websites

Lim was the first engineer and head of growth at Sequoia-backed Warp, scaling from zero to hundreds of thousands of developers. The website became her biggest bottleneck: multi-team coordination meant weeks-long delays. After shipping Warp's AI agents, she envisioned websites that could build themselves.

She partnered with Max Levenson, former engineering leader at autonomous vehicle startup Nuro, where he spent years solving simulation and infrastructure challenges to make cars drive themselves. The parallels were immediate: both autonomous vehicles and autonomous websites need to process real-time data streams, make decisions, and act instantly.

Investment to Accelerate Flint’s Mission

The seed funding will accelerate hiring in design and applied AI engineering. Despite operating in stealth, Flint has accumulated a lengthy waitlist and will expand access to its invite-only beta.

"The web is being disrupted by AI and companies need to adapt their websites quickly to remain effective marketing and acquisition channels," said Sheryl Sandberg, co-founder of Sandberg Bernthal Venture Partners. "Flint is solving this challenge, shaping discoverability and online advertising for the AI era."

“Marketers are gravely underserved by outdated tools. Flint finally gives them AI superpowers to compete," said Dan Levine, partner at Accel, whose investments include Scale, Vercel, and Sentry.

“We've known Michelle as an outlier since 2019, and the whole Flint team is cracked,” said Ali Partovi, founder and CEO of Neo, whose investments include Cursor, Kalshi, and Bluesky. ”I’d bet on this team in a heartbeat.”
