Nationally recognized real estate PR firm brings top journalists and industry leaders together for candid conversation around what’s driving the sector’s biggest news stories
Real estate leaders will get rare, unfiltered access to the reporters covering their industry when Gregory hosts Behind the Headlines on Jan. 15 at the Lambs Club in Manhattan.
The intimate, invite-only event will create space for honest conversation with national journalists about how stories are shaped, what's driving coverage decisions, and which narratives are gaining traction as the market heads into 2026. It's a chance to hear directly from the people deciding what gets covered — and why.
"We spend our days helping clients understand the media landscape and break through with compelling stories," said Britni Ackrivo, Executive Vice President at Gregory, who will moderate the evening's discussion. "Behind the Headlines flips that dynamic. Real estate executives get to ask the questions, hear what resonates with reporters, and understand the coverage priorities that will shape the conversation this year."
Ackrivo will lead the discussion with national reporters covering commercial and residential real estate, including Aarthi Swaminathan from MarketWatch, Anne D'Innocenzio from the Associated Press, James Rodriguez from Business Insider, and Rebecca Piccioto and Veronica Dagher from The Wall Street Journal.
Ackrivo, who hosts the award-winning PlotLines podcast and spearheads Gregory's real estate practice, has built her career on understanding how media coverage moves markets. Behind the Headlines extends that expertise to industry peers who want an inside look at how compelling real estate coverage gets made.
"Our relationships with top-tier real estate reporters run deep, and we know firsthand how valuable these conversations can be," said Greg Matusky, Founder and Owner of Gregory. "After a decade of working across every sector of this industry, we saw an opportunity to create something our clients and peers would genuinely benefit from. Events like this build the kind of understanding that helps real estate leaders communicate more effectively when it matters most."
Behind the Headlines takes place Thursday, Jan. 15, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at The Lambs Club, 132 W 44th St, New York. Space is limited. To request an invitation, contact reporterroundtable@gregoryagency.com.
