Effective Monday, February 16, 2026, the Mountain Valley Lodge located in Hailey, Idaho, will temporarily close to undergo a comprehensive renovation and conversion to Hampton by Hilton Hailey Sun Valley. The transformation represents a significant investment in the Wood River Valley and reinforces the company’s commitment to enhancing the region’s hospitality offerings.

The renovation will modernize the property while thoughtfully incorporating design elements that reflect the natural beauty and character of the Wood River Valley. Following completion of the renovation, the hotel is expected to reopen this spring, welcoming guests back as a newly rebranded Hampton by Hilton.

The hotel’s conversion to Hampton by Hilton will connect the property to Hilton’s global distribution platform and its more than 240 million Hilton Honors members worldwide, offering travelers a trusted lodging option with convenient access to Hailey, Friedman Memorial Airport (SUN), Sun Valley Resort, and downtown Ketchum. Upon reopening, the hotel will mark Hilton’s entry into the greater Wood River Valley region.

Elements Hospitality, based in Lynden, Washington, will serve as the general contractor for the project. Jensen Davenport Architects, headquartered in Woodinville, Washington, is the architect of record, leading the design vision and execution.

The renovation will include fully updated guestrooms, refreshed and expanded public spaces, and Hampton’s signature amenities, including complimentary hot breakfast, a modern fitness center, and welcoming communal areas designed for both leisure and business travelers.
