Celebrated annually on January 16th, the initiative also includes the B2B Salesperson of the Year Awards program. The launch comes as companies across industries prioritize employee recognition to combat record turnover. Despite generating 6.2% of U.S. GDP, B2B salespeople remain undervalued. Gallup research shows 66% of employees would leave their job if they didn't feel appreciated, while Gartner found nearly 90% of B2B sellers experience burnout. For small businesses and enterprises alike, sales teams are the critical link that converts marketing-generated leads into revenue.

"B2B salespeople are the bridge between marketing and revenue," said John Buie, CEO of Salesperson Inc. "Marketing teams work hard to generate qualified leads, and salespeople transform those leads into customers and long-term relationships. Both deserve recognition for their role in driving business growth."

The B2B Salesperson of the Year Awards will recognize outstanding sales professionals across multiple industries. Early bird nominations submitted by March 31, 2026 receive priority consideration. Companies can participate by nominating team members, sharing recognition stories using #B2BSalespersonDay, and celebrating their sales and marketing teams together.
