I grew up knowing the power of fire—the way it turns strangers into friends, the way it fights back the cold, the way it makes the outdoors inviting even when the temperatures say otherwise.
But there was a problem. Outdoor heaters at the time were mostly propane-based, inefficient, and left people half-warm at best. Most of the heat from those mushroom-style heaters just floated away into the sky. I wanted something different. Something that made sense.
A Common-Sense Idea
The idea was simple: keep the heat source as close to the ground as possible. After all, what good is warmth if it never reaches your feet? I wanted a heater that heated your entire body, not just the top of your head.
Using wood pellets was the next logical step. Not only were they a sustainable byproduct of the lumber industry, but they burned hot, clean, and efficiently. If I could build a heater that took advantage of those properties, I knew I’d be onto something.

But life has a way of testing you. As I was refining my designs, I lost my father. Anyone who has lost a parent knows that it shakes the foundation of your world. You start questioning everything. But through the grief, I found purpose in the work.
My father was a man of faith, virtue, and wisdom. He understood that life wasn’t about what you accumulate—it was about what you build, what you share, and how you serve others. He taught me to embrace the gifts we are given, to recognize that fate doesn’t just happen to us—we have a role to play in shaping it.
Building the Heater That Changed Everything
Through every setback, the vision became clearer. The Timber Heater was born out of necessity, crafted with intention, and tested by real-world experience. It wasn’t built in a lab—it was built in backyards, in hunting camps, at tailgates, and in the cold reality of winter nights.
The final product wasn’t just another heater. It was a revolution in outdoor warmth. It was about harnessing fire the right way, with gravity-fed pellets, a perfectly tuned air-to-fuel ratio, and a design that actually made sense. And when we fired it up for the first time and watched the clean-burning flame do exactly what it was meant to do, I knew—we had something special.
