PUTNAM COUNTY, FL - Spencer Wainright III, an 81-year-old disabled American Veteran, has launched his children’s book series, Jon, Kallie & Boo Saga, a heartwarming collection that celebrates the virtues of faith, resilience, and the importance of helping others. Available on major global platforms such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, IngramSpark, Google Books, and iBooks, this series is poised to inspire a new generation of readers worldwide.
Wainright, who served for over a decade with Putnam Fire Rescue REHAB 111, crafted the series inspired by his years of service and his deep connection to first responders. The series follows Jon and Kallie, an elderly couple committed to helping others, and their extraordinary dog, Boo (also known as Delilah), who plays the role of moral compass and guide throughout their adventures.
“Reaching 81 made me reflect on the impact I want to leave behind,” says Wainright. “The biggest lesson I want to impart to children is that heroism is not defined by physical size but by how well one listens and responds to the call to help.”

A Journey of Faith and Real-Life Inspiration
The saga’s first book, A Dog Called Boo, introduces a small black puppy who, unlike any other, has the ability to understand human speech and sense the unspoken emotional needs of those around him. This extraordinary gift allows Boo to offer compassion and guidance in ways that inspire the characters and readers alike.
The sequel, Hurricane Stranger, is based on Wainright’s real-life experience during Hurricane Irma. In the book, Wainright recounts a dramatic encounter with a mysterious stranger on a rain-soaked highway during the Category Five storm, a moment that ultimately saved his family’s lives. This miraculous event highlights the themes of faith and divine intervention, as well as the deep connections people can form with others during times of crisis.
“The story is meant to show that there is always hope, even in the most challenging times,” Wainright explains. “Sometimes, the help we need comes from unexpected places, and we must be open to recognizing it when it arrives.”
Global Reach and Growing Recognition
Jon, Kallie & Boo Saga is already making waves internationally. Available in paperback, hardcover, and Kindle formats, the books are gaining traction with readers worldwide. The series was recently showcased on a Times Square Billboard in New York City, making a significant impact on both local and global audiences.
Wainright’s international recognition is expanding as well. With a scheduled book launch in London this March, he is quickly becoming an influential figure in the genre of children’s literature focused on intentional fatherhood and inspirational themes. The Author is also scheduled for a high-profile interview on the Spotlight Podcast, further solidifying his role in the global literary landscape.
“I am honored to be able to share these stories with families across the world,” Wainright says. “My goal is to inspire not just children, but parents as well, to see the value in small acts of kindness and the power of helping others.”
