Yorks journey into real estate began not in an office but in frustration. Twenty four years ago she struggled to sell her own home after working with two different agents who offered little more than a yard sign and an occasional open house. Determined to take control she sold the home herself. That experience shaped her entire philosophy. Real estate clients deserve advocacy education and effort not passivity.
After relocating to State College with her husband Yorks entered the industry from the ground up working first as an assistant then as a buyer agent and later as a solo agent. By 2007 she launched her own business with a clear mission. Be fair. Be honest. Explain the process. Do not price gouge. Treat people with respect.
That mission resonated. Her group quickly rose to the top at Keller Williams Advantage Realty becoming the number one group and earning top agent recognition for several consecutive years. In 2017 the team transitioned to Perry Wellington Realty where growth continued without compromising values. The move marked a new chapter defined by independence consistency and long term client relationships.

When Perry Wellington Realty purchased the office located in the Boalsburg Diamond, the decision was made to become meaningfully engaged in the town rather than simply operate within it. The group contributes time and resources to local efforts including free community music events held on the lawn, annual shred events benefiting the local Lions Club, and ongoing volunteer support for community programs.
That commitment has been recognized through the Melvin Jones Fellow Award, presented in connection with sustained sponsorship of the Lions Club and its sight and service programs. Recognition, however, is not the focus. The priority remains building familiarity, trust, and long term relationships with the people who live and work in the community.
