Capital Region’s premier ninja warrior gym offers high-energy, screen-free birthday party experiences for kids of all ages as parents choose active celebrations over traditional party formats.
-- Albany Ninja Lab, the Capital Region’s premier ninja warrior and parkour obstacle course facility, is seeing a surge in demand for its active birthday party packages as families across New York’s Capital District embrace what experts are calling the biggest shift in kids’ celebrations in a decade: experience-driven, physically active birthday parties.

Located at 161 Washington Ave Ext in Crossgates Commons, the 12,000-square-foot facility features American Ninja Warrior-inspired challenges, including warped walls, salmon ladders, quintuple steps, and a dedicated parkour area. Instead of traditional sit-down celebrations, kids spend their party climbing, swinging, jumping, and conquering obstacles alongside their friends, a welcome change for parents looking to get kids away from screens and into real-world, active play.
“Parents want their kid’s birthday to be something their friends actually remember,” said Daniel Kirchner, General Manager of Albany Ninja Lab. “Kids don’t talk about cake the next day at school. They talk about the warped wall they conquered. That’s what makes a birthday memorable.”
Birthday Party Packages for Every Group Size
Every Albany Ninja Lab birthday party includes a dedicated party room, full obstacle course access, and a trained “Party Ninja” staff member who runs the experience from start to finish. Families bring the food and cake, and Albany Ninja Lab handles the rest.

Standard parties accommodate 11 children (ages 5+) with an open gym and a party room, starting at $399. Private parties offer exclusive use of the entire facility for up to 30 kids (ages 2+), starting at $650. Any private party can be upgraded to a NERF Battle for an additional $50, transforming the gym into a foam-dart battleground.
Serving the Entire Capital Region
Conveniently located near Crossgates Mall, Albany Ninja Lab draws families from Albany, Colonie, Guilderland, Latham, Schenectady, Troy, Clifton Park, Saratoga Springs, and the greater Hudson Valley. In addition to birthday parties, the facility offers a variety of kid’s activities in Albany, including ninja warrior classes, open gym, Tiny Ninja sessions for ages 2–5, seasonal camps, NERF Wars theme nights, and competitive training.
