Cavell Law Welcomes Award-Winning Litigator Hannah Kunc to Cleveland Team

Experienced Litigator Hannah Kunc Joins Cavell Law

(PRUnderground) February 17th, 2026

Cavell Law is pleased to announce that litigator Hannah Kunc has joined the Firm as an Associate Attorney. Hannah brings extensive experience in financial services and commercial litigation, strengthening the Firm’s capabilities in real estate litigation & business litigation.

Hannah’s practice has focused on representing mortgage and loan servicers, banks, auto and manufactured housing lenders, and real estate entities. She counsels clients on consumer financial services matters in the mortgage, auto finance, consumer protection, and data privacy contexts at both the State and Federal level. Her experience includes defending clients in matters related to the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Ohio Consumer Sales Practices Act (CSPA), and related UDAAP (Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices) laws.

“Hannah’s addition to our team represents exactly what we look for at Cavell Law,” said Hunter G. Cavell, founder and owner of Cavell Law. “Her extensive experience in financial services litigation, combined with her people-first approach to client service, aligns perfectly with our Firm’s values and practice areas. Her recognition as both a Rising Star and in Best Lawyers speaks to the quality of advocacy she brings to every matter.”

Hannah’s unique background in consumer debt collections provides her with a valuable perspective in approaching complex litigation matters. Prior to joining Cavell Law, she practiced at McGlinchey Stafford’s Cleveland Office, where she developed her expertise in financial services litigation. Before entering private practice, Hannah worked in government as a Law Clerk for the City of Mentor Prosecutor’s Office and as an extern for the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court. She also gained experience as a benefit counselor with the Legal Aid of Western Ohio.

“I am delighted to be joining the team at Cavell Law,” said Hannah. “It is apparent that Hunter and I share the same priorities – clear communication and bringing a personal touch to our work, which is often lacking in our field. I am confident we will be able to work together to achieve results for our clients that we can be proud of.”

Licensed to practice in Ohio, Hannah earned her J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University in 2020 and her B.A. in Law and Social Thought from the University of Toledo in 2017. She has been recognized as a Rising Star by Ohio Super Lawyers in Creditor Debtor Rights for 2023-2026 and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for Commercial Litigation and Litigation – Banking and Finance for 2026-present.

Outside the office, Hannah enjoys reading and spending time with her husband and their daughter, Harper. The family spends much of the summer enjoying boating on Lake Erie.
