Bank of America Names Ken Sheldon New Hampshire State President

Bank of America Enterprise Marketing and Market President Executive Meredith Verdone announced today that Ken Sheldon has been named New Hampshire state president. A resident of the Granite State for 25 years, Sheldon has been with the company since joining predecessor institution Fleet Bank in 1990.

As state president, Sheldon will help integrate Bank of America business lines throughout New Hampshire, allowing the company to deliver its entire range of global financial services capabilities to more individuals, families and businesses while deepening relationships with existing customers. He will also oversee corporate social responsibility activities, including philanthropic giving and employee volunteerism.

“In his new role, Ken will leverage our vast talent and resources across the state to create opportunities for customers, clients and the communities we serve,” said Verdone.

In addition to his responsibilities as state president, Sheldon is a senior credit products officer in Bank of America’s Global Commercial Bank. In that capacity, he serves middle market businesses across New Hampshire and Vermont.

Sheldon, who resides in Amherst with his wife and two children, graduated from Babson College with a degree in finance and math, and earned his MBA from Bentley College. He is active in the community, having served on the boards of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua and Friends of Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD), including time as president of Friends of CHaD South. In 2010, Sheldon was honored by the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua as “Man of the Year.” He has also logged countless hours as a volunteer with organizations including New Horizons Soup Kitchen, United Way and the Special Olympics.

Verdone added, “As a long-time New Hampshire resident with a history of civic involvement, Ken is the perfect choice to carry on our tradition of service and giving throughout the state.”

Last year, Bank of America employees in New Hampshire volunteered more than 3,500 hours to local nonprofits and continue to be significant players in major philanthropic initiatives, including the United Way campaign. Approximately $800,000 in 2010 statewide philanthropic giving helped nonprofit community organizations develop and grow, including those that provide basic human services such as hunger relief, housing assistance and access to healthcare.

Every major line of business at Bank of America is represented in New Hampshire, including Global Commercial Banking, Global Wealth and Investment Management, and Global Corporate and Investment Banking. The Consumer Bank also has a strong and convenient presence, with 33 banking centers and 82 ATMs throughout the state.
