Blue Nile (NILE) jumped nearly 7% after hours despite missing analysts second quarter earnings expectations.
The online diamond retailer reported earning a penny per share, 5 cents below expectations. Revenue of $83.1 million came up short of expectations for $82.3 million.
Blue Nile issued EPS guidance of 4 to 10 cents for the second quarter, below analysts’ projections for 16 cents. It also issued full-year guidance of 70 to 85 cents, versus expectations for 76 cents.
