Exxon Mobil Corporation (XOM) , currently valued at $350.56B, started trading this morning at $83.68. Today, shares have traded between $82.72 and $84.39 per share and has traded between $66.55 and $90.09 over the past 12 months. Priced at 35.87x this year’s forecasted earnings, XOM shares are relatively expensive compared to the industry’s 1.12x forward p/e ratio. And for passive income investors, the company pays shareholders $2.92 per share annually in dividends, yielding 3.54%. According to a consensus of 16 analysts, the earnings estimate of $0.30 per share would be $0.87 worse than the year-ago quarter and a $0.48 sequential decrease.
