Western New York Investors Conference 2007 Announces Bloomberg's Executive Editor as Keynote Speaker

The Founding Committee of the Western New York Investors Conference (WNYIC) announced today that Rich Jaroslovsky, Executive Editor, Government & Economy, at Bloomberg News in New York will be the Keynote Speaker at this years conference. The WNYIC is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 6, through lunch on Wednesday, November 7, at The Rochester Marriott Airport Hotel in Rochester, N.Y. Mr. Jaroslovsky will be speaking at the closing lunch on Wednesday.

Mr. Jaroslovsky joined Bloomberg News in 2004, where he directs its coverage of politics, governments and economies on a worldwide basis. Before joining Bloomberg, he held a variety of positions at The Wall Street Journal, including White House correspondent and national political editor. In 1994, he helped create and launch The Wall Street Journal Online (WSJ.com) and became its first Managing Editor, with responsibility for organizing and managing its news operation, a post he held until 2001.

Mr. Jaroslovsky founded and was elected the first president of the Online News Association, an organization of journalists dedicated to promoting excellence in digital journalism. He has taught courses on the Internet and online news at Duke University's Sanford Institute of Public Policy and at the Columbia School of Journalism. A California native, Mr. Jaroslovsky received a bachelor's degree in political science from Stanford University, where he later chaired the board of directors of the Stanford Alumni Association.
