EV charging stations in Ohio would nearly double if PUCO approves AEP plan

Governments, workplaces and apartment complexes would get rebates to install electric vehicle charging stations throughout AEP Ohio's territory – paid for by the utility's customers – under a larger rate plan up for a PUCO vote Wednesday. Not all of the 375 proposed stations are designated for Central Ohio, but the program likely would pull Columbus even further ahead of Cincinnati and Cleveland for EV charging infrastructure.
