Cincinnati Opera commissions U.S. poet laureate for 2020 premiere

Cincinnati Opera has commissioned composer Gregory Spears and U.S. poet laureate Tracy Smith to write “Castor and Patience,” an opera that explores how the history of the South continues to shape the lives of modern Americans.
