FTSE 100 finds higher footing as BP, Fresnillo rise

U.K. stocks rose Tuesday, with gains for commodity producers Fresnillo and BP helping guide the FTSE 100 higher after a choppy start, and the blue-chips index was on course to advance for the month of July.
