By: PRLog
BURBANK, Calif. - Aug. 1, 2018 - PRLog -- The Thomas J. Long Foundation has awarded $400,000 to EngAGE, Inc., for the EngAGE Replication Project in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. This project allows the expansion of the nationally renowned, award-winning EngAGE model to Northern California.

In the program's first year, approximately 250 seniors residing in affordable senior housing will participate in EngAGE programming, and the organization will work with real estate development partners to create affordable senior housing that supports the health and wellness of future residents.

In response to the generous grant, EngAGE CEO/Founder Tim Carpenter commented, "We are so happy to be part of the Thomas J. Long Foundation family to expand our work in Northern California, and are so thankful to partner with Mark Friedman and Nancy Shillis there. It also allows us to hire the amazing Laura Mason to be our Executive Director of Northern California. Such gratitude for that opportunity."
