Phil Sanders has been modernizing Waddell & Reed Financial Inc. ever since he took over as CEO in July 2016. The financial services firm is in the middle of a broad strategic initiative of technological innovation and upgrades to its core asset management, investment product sales and broker-dealer businesses.
