Union Bank to Close Cary Branch Office January 2020

Union Bank (OTCQX: UBNC) has announced that it will close its Cary branch office and consolidate those operations into its Raleigh branch office located at 701 Mutual Court, effective January 31, 2020. Cary customers will be receiving written communication outlining the details of the closure and how it may affect them.

Rob Jones, President and Chief Executive Officer commented, “Today’s technology will enable us to continue to support and grow the Cary market from our larger office in Raleigh through high-tech, high-touch solutions.” Jones continued, “This change will significantly improve the profitability of our Wake County operation, allowing us to focus on, and grow our Wake County business in a more efficient manner. Cary is a fantastic community and we look forward to continuing to provide credit and other financial services to Raleigh, Cary, and neighboring communities, going forward.”

Union Bank owns the Cary property located at 1405 Bradford View Drive and plans to market that property to the public soon.

Union Bank is headquartered in Greenville, North Carolina and operates 15 branches located in 11 counties throughout Eastern and Central North Carolina. Union Bank stock is traded on the OTCQX under the symbol UBNC.
