San Francisco office to regulate emerging technologies clears first hurdle

San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to approve the creation of the Office of Emerging Technology on Tuesday, a government entity that will add another layer of bureaucracy to the permit process but one that aims to avoid technology bringing chaos to city streets, sidewalks and other public areas.
