Hotel, entertainment uses eyed for historic Excelsior Club property after city approves funds for buyer

Charlotte City Council on Monday night voted to approve $50,000 to help restore part of the Excelsior Club, a historic landmark and longtime epicenter of African American politics and culture in Mecklenburg County.
