Ohio pays out nearly $1.5B in unemployment benefits as claims surpass 1 million

The number of new claims filed for the week was less than 100,000 for the first time in more than a month, according to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. But it brings to the total claims filed over six weeks to 1,057,486.
