Vancouver, Sep 25, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - Learning, a British Columbia-based tech start-up has launched a teacher-centred web application that empowers teachers and other educators to stream their classes online. Unlike popular online meeting apps, Live Learning caters to educators' unique needs. With the capability to create courses, add groups, and invite students in a single click, teachers have a one-stop-shop for everything they need to teach online, says Live Learning founder, Krishna Krishna.

"Think of Live Learning as a digital version of WeWork but tailored specifically for educators and their students. I wanted to provide them with a single platform with tools to teach online, data to help teachers understand each class's performance and an easy way for their students to connect," said Krishna.

The web application can operate independently, but it can also easily integrate with popular meeting tools, such as Google Meet, Spotify and more should students and teachers prefer those environments. No matter what their choice, they can have all their favourite apps in one place. No longer do teachers need to switch back and forth between platforms or struggle to understand complicated directions. "I finished Live Learning during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. I saw how teachers and students worked with online video apps already on the market. Teachers and their students have enough challenges with all that has happened. Teaching and learning online in the 21st century should be easy to manage," Krishna points out.

Although Krishna and the development team from India put the finishing touches on Live Learning during the pandemic's height, it has been in the works for several years.
Live Learning began with the concept of an interface so intuitive that even teachers who are uncomfortable with technology can learn to use it in mere minutes. The main dashboard displays three self-explanatory categories: key student data metrics in real-time, active live sessions, and course performance (number of enrollees in each).
A left-hand menu allows teachers to take a more in-depth look at each category on the main dashboard, as well as two more key categories, student reviews (labelled "My Review,") and requests. Student requests are an essential component of classroom learning. This web application empowers teachers to make the classroom's interactive side come alive in a digital environment.

Live Learning's small team provides easy-to-follow guides for both teachers and students, walking them through on how to create classes and tackle any technology hurdles.
The student dashboard is a simplified version of the teachers' dashboard, with fewer menu items. Older students can easily understand how to use it, especially with the student guides. Parents - even those who aren't tech-savvy - can help younger students get up to speed.

Live Learning is free to join for both teachers and students. Live Learning team plans to introduce new integrations and tools in the coming weeks. Although students and teachers worldwide can access the website, Krishna intends to focus on Canada and India. With their advanced education policies and digital infrastructure,
these nations show excellent potential to take remote teaching to the next level, Krishna points out.

.io free features include a live video classroom, real-time chat, a screen share option, and integrated tools. Teachers can easily organize their online courses by groups, inviting them to classes with a single click. Unlike many platforms, there is no 40-minute limit. Tools include a whiteboard, a "raise hand" feature, and the option to choose between private and class chats. It can currently integrate with Spotify, Google Drive, and some in beta versions such as Google Meet and Google Docs.

Live Learning development was made possible quickly with the help of a remote team of two brothers Ritesh Rai and Vidya Rai. Two talented technology experts and project managers who worked tirelessly to understand the project's weak points and architect a simple yet strong system for teachers. Ritesh and Vidya are both in India and manage their own IT company alongside working on Live Learning.

With Ritesh and teams in India and Canada, Live Learning plans to help as many private sectors or solo teachers and educators they can by providing a robust platform.
Live Learning and team welcomes all teachers and educators to support them and try Live Learning for free at livelearning.io and step-by-step guides at LL.guide
