Emails in Columbus Dispatch subscriber lawsuit show internal struggle behind paper's strategy

Leadership at The Columbus Dispatch pushed back with growing frustration at the paper's parent company starting in 2018 as circulation numbers continued to fall and subscribers increasingly complained of upcharges and opaque billing practices, new emails from within the company show. "We've hit the tipping point where we're driving away subscribers ... for a short-term gain of far less."
