Big 12 Conference Award-Winning “Champions for Life” Campaign Begins Sixth Season

The Big 12 Conference announces the launch of a new season of its award-winning Champions for Life campaign, highlighting the inspiring stories of its student-athletes and alumni.

In its sixth year, and coinciding with the Conference’s 25th anniversary, Champions for Life will re-visit previously featured student-athletes to showcase the impact they have made since graduation. Additionally, the campaign will spotlight current student-athletes who are using their platforms to impact positive change within their communities. This year’s campaign includes current and former student-athletes from every Big 12 Conference member institution. Features will appear on all Big 12 digital and social media platforms and on Big12ChampionsforLife.com.

“One thing we have seen throughout this extraordinary time is the equally extraordinary efforts of our student-athletes to use their platforms and voices to encourage positive change,” said Big 12 Commissioner Bob Bowlsby. "We have been inspired by their actions; amidst uncertainty and angst, their commitment to being more than an athlete is a beacon of hope for the future.”

Nearly 350 student-athletes across all sports have been featured since the campaign launch in 2015.
