The regulations include many sections that have not changed from the Building Regulation 2006, but they also include many new provisions. This includes practices that provide transitional arrangements, including continuing the combustible cladding checklist obligations for private building owners which strengthen fire safety for building occupants. Improved record-keeping practices for building certifiers, as well as the removal of outdated transactional provisions.
Many of the other changes in the regulations are to make the regulations themselves easier to follow. This includes renumbered sections, reordered parts of the regulations, changes to make requirements easier to understand, and so on.
