Rising Star scholarship winners make their mark in industry

If the Georgia Power Rising Star student scholarship winners are any indication, the future of the entertainment industry is bright. The scholarship recognizes college juniors or seniors in good standing who are pursuing degrees in film-related studies. One winner is awarded 5,000 and two runners-up receive $500 each, funds to further their education in pursuit of a film industry career. The 2021 winners are: Patricio Sanchez Mejorada Girault of University of Georgia; Abigail Kemp of Kennesaw State University; and Gabrielle Morse of Spelman College.
