Friends, family celebrate life of Hayward's Pit Bar B Que founder Hayward Spears Sr.

"I only worked a few jobs before I decided that I was going to be an entrepreneur," the late Hayward Spears Sr. told the audience at the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association's annual awards dinner in 2017. Spears owned Hayward's Pit Bar B Que for 42 years.
