Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
 
    Carl E. Vogel announced that he will be resigning from the Board of Directors of EchoStar Corporation (“EchoStar”) and from his position as Senior Advisor of EchoStar and its subsidiaries, effective March 30, 2009. 
 
    Mr. R. Stanton Dodge was appointed to fill the vacancy on our board of directors created by Mr. Vogel's resignation.  Mr. Dodge is currently our Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary and holds the same positions at DISH Network Corporation. Since joining DISH Network in November 1996, he has held various positions of increasing responsibility within its legal department.
