(the "Company") today is filing its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q reporting results for its fiscal quarter ended November 30, 2008 (the second quarter of fiscal 2009). The Company's net loss for the second quarter as reported in the Form 10-Q is $164.7 million ($2.09 per share), which is $5.2 million ($0.07 per share) more than the net loss for the second quarter as announced in the news release issued by the Company on December 18, 2008. The net loss for the six-month period ended November 30, 2008, is also $5.2 million ($0.07 per share) more than that announced in the news release. The reason for the differences is a change in the timing of the tax benefits associated with the $96.9 million goodwill write-off in the Metal Framing segment in the Company's second quarter.
