ITEM 8.01OTHER EVENTS.

 

On November 21, 2017, Mid Penn Bancorp, Inc. (“Mid Penn”) announced that its Board of Directors has declared a special dividend of $0.10 per common share.  The special dividend is payable on January 5, 2018 to shareholders of record on December 21, 2017.  Also, on November 21, 2017, the Board of Directors of Mid Penn Bancorp, Inc. declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.15 per share of common stock payable on January 12, 2018 to shareholders of record as of December 21, 2017.  Mid Penn issued a press release announcing the payment of the special dividend and quarterly cash dividend, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
