On April 16, 2008, JPMorgan Chase & Co. (“JPMorgan Chase” or the “Firm”) reported 2008 first
quarter net income of $2.4 billion, or $0.68 per share, compared with net income of $4.8 billion,
or $1.34 per share, for the first quarter of 2007. A copy of the 2008 first quarter earnings
release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1, and a copy of the earnings release financial supplement
is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.2.
