Mr. Catterall's professional journey has been quite unconventional. He initially planned to become a doctor before realizing this path wasn't right for him and shifted toward engineering.
Currently, Mr. Catterall is the director of United States operations at Equinox Engineering Ltd., where he has been instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of projects, delivering them on time, staying within budget and addressing customer concerns in a timely manner. His position involves conducting performance reviews and actively managing a team, understanding and addressing their needs and shortfalls to initiate training opportunities as needed.
Before being promoted to his current position, Mr. Catterall served as the manager of projects in the U.S. at Equinox Engineering Ltd. from 2021 to 2023. Before joining this firm, he worked at Yokogawa Corporation of America from 2020 to 2021, serving as a senior EPC account manager. Mr. Catterall has also held various roles at Worley, working at the company for 16 years as an operations manager for modularization, fabrication and greenfield construction, customer relations manager, general manager of onshore oil and gas, senior director of business development and several other positions.
Mr. Catterall established his professional career through his foundational educational experiences. He earned a bachelor's degree in applied petroleum engineering, focusing on oil production, drilling and processing from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1999. He earned a Master of Business Administration in finance with honors from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 2023, graduating with a 4.0 grade-point average.

Mr. Catterall's active involvement in various organizations shows his dedication to professional excellence. He has been a member of Phi Kappa Phi since 2022 and is affiliated with the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the Gas Processors Association, the Association of Professional Engineers, the Geoscientists of Alberta and the Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.
