This announcement is primarily in regards to upcoming reforms to the Medicaid program as laid out in the Inflation Reduction Act. Most of the reforms proposed by the act were implemented in 2023 and 2024, with the final changes arriving in Q1 2025—changes which will cap prescription costs and provide additional relief to Medicaid recipients.
Those recipients can now apply for medication management services through Amelia Home Care to receive daily assistance in securing and administering medications to pediatric patients with special needs. They offer pickup services for prescriptions and provide their management services as a part of their larger home care offerings.
They provide these services to children ages 3 to 18, primarily to those with developmental or physical disabilities—individuals who have historically been fully covered by Medicaid. Amelia Home Care also offers additional assistance to those interested in securing care for their child, providing guidance regarding what documentation is needed to garner the highest chance of approval.
