-- Science Bridges Announces Predict The Prize 2025 Challenge for Students Worldwide

Science Bridges, a leading nonprofit organization focused on advancing science education, is pleased to announce the launch of the Predict The Prize 2025 challenge. This global competition invites high school and undergraduate students to predict the winners of the 2025 Nobel Prizes in the fields of Physics, Chemistry, and Physiology/Medicine. With cash prizes of up to $5,000 for the most accurate predictions, this initiative seeks to inspire the next generation of scientists and foster a deeper understanding of scientific progress. Science Bridge also disclaimed that this challenge is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Nobel Foundation.

A Global Call to Young Scientists

The Predict The Prize challenge encourages students to explore the latest scientific advancements, engage in critical thinking, and make well-informed predictions about the Nobel Prize winners. By participating, students gain a unique opportunity to enhance their academic profiles, engage in meaningful discussions about groundbreaking research, and potentially earn significant prizes. The competition is designed to stimulate scientific curiosity and provide a platform for students to showcase their knowledge.

Challenge Overview

From June 1 to September 15, 2025, participants will submit their predictions for the winners of the 2025 Nobel Prizes in Physics, Chemistry, and Physiology/Medicine. Along with their predictions, students are required to submit a rationale for each of their choices, citing recent scientific developments and breakthroughs. The competition encourages thoughtful, evidence-based predictions rather than relying solely on common assumptions.

Prizes will be awarded based on the accuracy and quality of the predictions. The grand prize of $5,000 will be given to the participant who makes the most accurate prediction. In addition, a $1,000 award will be presented to the best overall submission in cases where no single participant predicts the winners with full accuracy. Fifteen outstanding entries, which demonstrate exceptional thought and reasoning, will be awarded $50 gift cards.

Eligibility and Participation

The Predict The Prize challenge is open to everyone globally. The competition is free to enter, and participants may participate individually or in teams of up to three members. However, only entries by high school and undergraduate students  are eligible for cash prizes. Void where prohibited by law. For students under 18 years old, parental consent will be required to receive prizes.

Building Global Connections in Science

This competition serves as a gateway for students to connect with the broader scientific community, inspiring them to pursue careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). By focusing on Nobel Prize-winning research, participants not only predict outcomes but also engage deeply with some of the most significant scientific discoveries of our time.
