NY Giant Superpower Dexter Lawrence to Host Celebrity Softball Game to Benefit St. Christopher’s Inc. for Disadvantaged Youth

Fun-Filled Evening will Feature a Star-Studded Line-Up of Current and Former Giants Players

(PRUnderground) May 14th, 2024

New York Giant’s defensive tackle, Dexter Lawrence, announced today that he is bringing the New York Giants Charity Softball game back after 5 years. Lawrence will be hosting the event at Clover Stadium in Pomona, N.Y. on Saturday, May 18.  The charity softball game will pit current and former New York Giants against one another as they test out their competitive skills on the baseball diamond, (with dodgeball and a home run derby before the game).  Lawrence will captain a team of players currently on the Giant’s roster while former Giants running back, Brandon Jacobs, will be captain of the veteran team that will be comprised of greats from the Super Bowl XLII and XLVI champion teams.

All the major names are scheduled to participate including Eli Manning with his kids as bat boy and girl. A portion of the proceeds will go to St. Christopher’s Inc, a charitable organization that helps underserved kids with special needs.

New York Giant fan favorite, Joe Ruback, aka License Plate Guy, who came up with the original idea for the event is so happy to see it return after five years. “Bringing together a group of incredible athletes for a fun-filled day – all to support a great cause never gets old,” said Ruback.

The night’s activities will include a dodgeball game, a homerun derby and then the celebrity softball game where the NFL pros will take their shots at swinging for the fences. Stadium tickets start at $35 and are available at https://sexydexygame.com/

Here is the schedule of events:

  • Parking lot opens: 12pm
