Boston, Massachusetts: Failsafe Health, an innovative healthcare technology start-up comprised of a cross functional team of executives from both the technology and healthcare verticals, is pleased to announce the appointment of Keith A. Hovan as President and CEO of this exciting new enterprise.

Ray Romagnolo, Founder of Failsafe Health said: “We feel fortunate to have Keith Hovan formally join our leadership team after working with us since early 2022. Failsafe Health is leveraging technology to create a hybrid digital/physical medical services network and Keith brings a vast amount of experience and expertise from his many years as one of the most respected healthcare leaders in the country”.

According to Mr. Romagnolo, Keith Hovan’s successes include operational turnarounds, performance improvements, care quality and patient safety enhancements, cost reductions, improved governance, deepened community relations, and medical staff engagement and realignment. “I was personally and positively impacted by the work Mr. Hovan accomplished in his most recent CEO level position at Southcoast Health where he made dramatic improvements in an organization that serves the region I live in and that will benefit the community for years to come”.

Mr. Romagnolo continued, “The movement to new payment models that require healthcare providers to take financial risk for the cost and quality of the services they render means that Provider organizations must rethink and remake their models for healthcare delivery. This a difficult challenge and one that the industry has not been able to accomplish, but is necessary to ultimately achieve the cost containment and affordability that results from access driven health equity”. Keith’s understanding of the underlying intricacies of this process will be invaluable”.

Keith Hovan, the new CEO of Failsafe Health stated, “I am pleased to be named to lead this organization with its diverse team combining to achieve better outcomes for both those receiving and, those paying for healthcare. As I have worked with Ray and his team over this past year it became clear that they want to do something that will have the potential to profoundly and positively effect healthcare access, health equity and costs.” Hovan further stated, “what makes the platform a true breakthrough in health innovation is how our proprietary, real time, dynamically changing localized data is acquired and simultaneously operationalized to create high value to the User, while helping to reduce unnecessary Emergency Room visits, and the associated often prolonged waits to receive the same information.”

Prior to joining the team at Failsafe Health Keith Hovan served in a variety of senior level executive roles. He most recently served for thirteen years as President and CEO of Southcoast Health System in Massachusetts; Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Danbury Health System in Connecticut; various roles at Montefiore Medical Center in New York and Bridgeport Hospital in Connecticut. Keith is a highly experienced senior healthcare executive with clinical and administrative leadership experience across community, teaching, and academic medical center settings, and an expert in health system operations, strategic planning, business development, population health and building high performance teams.
