Not everyone completely roots for the hero in Disney movies. Sometimes, viewers look forward to seeing their favorite villain take the screen even more than the protagonist. Disney has done an exceptional job at crafting well-rounded and tantalizing villains that have morphed into cultural icons.
It’s no surprise that Disney announced this summer that Orlando will be getting its very own Villains Show in 2025. Disney Baddies Are Coming to Hollywood Studios Attractions
While we all love the long-time Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, this popular production closes at the Sunset Showcase Theater on October 9th. On the bright side, it’s making way for next year’s delightfully wicked Villains Show. If you’re not familiar with the theater’s location, it’s close to the Rock ‘n Roller Coaster.
An interesting thing to note about Sunset Showcase Theater is that it used to be home to Club Villain. This was a special ticketed event that featured some of the following things:
- Cocktails
- Performances
- Food
- Encounters with some of the most renowned villains
It seems like the Sunset Showcase Theater is going back to its roots when getting inspiration for this upcoming show.
Experience a Snow White-Inspired Transformation
In some of the most exciting Disney’s Hollywood Studios News, we discovered that the theater will transform into the reflective and mysterious mirror realm you know and love from “Snow White.” The show is also expected to feature some of the most infamous villains from Disney movies, including:
- Cruella de Vil
- Captain Hook
- Maleficent
- Jafar
- The Queen of Hearts
- Hades
- Gaston
- Ursula
- Scar
- Yzma
Each Disney villain will enter the stage by “breaking through” the magical glass to perform dynamic and exciting live musical numbers.
Make a Reservation at the Upcoming Villains Land
On top of adding a Villains show, Disney World will be building a Villains Land in Magic Kingdom in the future. This land will be packed full of the stuff of your nightmares, including:
- Two new attractions
- Shopping
- Dining
The conceptual artwork for this new land looks thrilling as it features Maleficent in dragon form standing next to a castle. We know we can’t wait to visit the moody village and ride the rollercoaster through a sinister forest.
